A new dahlia
SUN 31st AUGUST at 10:01am

I have loved dahlias since I first started gardening as a child. I cannot imagine my garden without them. This year I have planted Cafe Creme, a new variety to me, at the recomendation of Jane Scotter at Fern Verrow Farm.

The colours vary from flower to flower, even from the same tuber. A soft pink, a little cream and caramel and a hint of peach flash each of the long petals of this dinneer plate sized dahlia. I have added them to the gentle chaos of the Higgledy garden bed, so they sit amongst ammi majus and pink cosmos.
